Ambient Air Quality Monitoring
PES conducts ambient air quality monitoring for various projects and industries to assess the extent of pollution and compliance with national air quality standards set by the Ministry of Environment. Through monitoring of ambient air quality, the baseline environment for EIAs are established, the compliance of facility is determined, and the need for engineering control is assessed.
Air Emissions
PES conducts air emissions monitoring of pollutants, particulate matter, and other parameters of interest. Monitoring may serve to establish the baseline for air quality in a project site, to assess if air emissions are in excess of regulatory limits, and propose controls for emission reduction.
Soil Survey and Classification
PES provides soil survey and classification services in accordance with USDA Soil Classification System. GIS-based maps are prepared delineating the soil types and land uses.
Soil Contamination Assessment
PES conducts soil sampling and chemical analysis at associate laboratory to determine contamination status of soils in terms of organic and inorganic contaminants including heavy metals and hydrocarbons.
Soil Modeling
PES has capabilities in assessing soil contaminant transport and impact on groundwater and the marine environment. Based on predictions of modelling, our clients are able to make more accurate decisions with regards to their operations impact on the environment and introduce measures to prevent environmental degradation.
Contamination Assessment
PES conducts groundwater sampling and comprehensive chemical analyses at our associate laboratory to assess the level of contamination by hydrocarbons, heavy metals, and organics. The results are analyzed statistically to determine the spatial distribution of contaminants and GIS-based maps are prepared to provide graphical display of contamination.
Groundwater Remediation
PES has capabilities to remediate contaminated groundwater using ex-situ and in-situ remediation technologies. In the former; groundwater is extracted and treated above ground surface while in the latter water is treated on site without extraction.
Noise measurements are taken at the project site during day and night time to establish the prevalent noise environment at project site. These levels are compared against Qatari Standards specified by the Executive Regulations for the Law of Environmental Protection of the State of Qatar, Decree No. 30 of 2002. Allowable noise limits as per regulation are set for residential, commercial, and industrial areas both during daylight and night time.
Construction Environmental Management Plan (CEMP)
A CEMP is an important document with the purpose to outline how a construction project will avoid, minimize or mitigate effects on the environment and surrounding area. Construction environmental management plans often comprehensive and offer details of the implementation of measures in accordance with environmental regulations and laws governing such construction site or a project.
Environmental Management Staffing
PES has extensive resources and are able to offer professional environmental staffing services for short term, or long-term deputation on projects or construction sites, to ensure full compliance with the environmental regulations and implement environmental policies, CEMP.
Environmental Permitting
With PES expertise and familiarity with the country regulations; PES is capable of preparing, submitting, and getting approval for environmental permits for construction sites and operational permit for plants and factories.
PES is capable of preparing and executing habitats relocation programs for both Flora And Fauna by developing a project-specific Habitat Management, Relocation, and Monitoring Plan that incorporates methodologies to relocate at-risk habitats to a suitable location, in addition to the execution of the plan through employing field specific experts on the projects.
